Grab your running or walking shoes and join the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation on Saturday, October 26th for a Halloween-themed event with festive Fall backdrop on the Virginia Capital Trail!
Run or walk 10 miles or 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) along the James River through scenic and historic sections of Richmond. Registration includes a t-shirt, drink ticket, costume contest, prizes, course support, sustainable cup-less water stations, bathrooms, and an off-road paved trail. After your hard work, enjoy a post-run beverage of your choice at Stone Brewing.
Discounts available for participants age 18 and younger as well as members of Richmond Road Runners Club, Colonial Road Runners, and Tri-Cities Road Runners. There’s also a discount for referring 3 friends!

7:30 AM: Packet Pickup starts
8:30 AM: 10M Costume Contest
9:00 AM: 10M starts
9:15 AM: 5k Costume Contest
9:45 AM: 5K starts
12:30 PM: Course closes
1:00 PM: Stone tab closes
Both 10M and 5K routes are completely on the Virginia Capital Trail, starting and finishing at the Wharf Street parking lot in Richmond (near MM 50).

No entry is required. Judges will select winners in the following categories and give out prize packets:
- Adult Costume
- Children's Costume
- Family/Group Costume
Top-finisher Prizes!
Thanks to Lucky Road Run Shop for offering varying amounts of gifts certificates to their excellent store! Winners will be notified via email after the event to pick up their prizes at Lucky Road Run Shop Willow Lawn.
