CONGRATULATIONS 2024 CAP TRAIL CRUSHERS

Cyclists, runners, walkers, and skaters logged over 44,000 MILES from mid-May to early Setember, exploring the entire Capital Trail this summer (and sometimes more!)! That’s almost 2X the circumference of the Earth!

2025 cap trail summer challenge

May 23rd - September 8th


How many miles can you conquer over one summer??


Walk, Run, Ride, Roll, OR Crawl your way to Cap Trail glory between May 23rd and September 8th. Choose from three distance challenges: 51.7 miles, 103.4 miles, and 517 miles (the length of the Capital Trail x 10!).


The Cap Trail Summer Challenge helps people stay active during the long summer months by encouraging them to reach new milestones. The “challenge” is to see all 51.7 miles of the Virginia Capital Trail from May to September! Register to run, walk, bike, or skate 51.7, 103.4 or 51.7(X) miles (X = VCT’s current age). It’s a great way to keep you motivated and active throughout the summer!
